Responsible Gambling at SharkRoll: Limits and the UK Helplines

Keeping play at SharkRoll under control

Gambling is entertainment with a cost, not a way to earn money, and it should stay within a budget and a time you set before you start. We are an independent information site, so we explain the tools and point you to help; the casino applies any limit or exclusion on your account, and support in the UK is only a phone call away.

What we do and what the casino does

Our part is information; the account side sits with the casino:

  • We describe the responsible-gambling tools SharkRoll lists: deposit limits (daily, weekly or monthly), time limits, cooling-off breaks on request and temporary or permanent self-exclusion.
  • The casino applies these tools; players set them in the account settings, and a limit set before the first deposit protects the whole session.
  • A cooling-off break is available on request, while self-exclusion, temporary or permanent, closes the door for longer; the first suits a bad week, the second a pattern.
  • Limits and exclusions on an account are applied by the casino, so a change, a lifted limit or a question about one goes to the casino's own support team.
  • For anything on your account, contact the casino's own support team through live chat or its contact form.

Helplines in the UK

These services are independent of the casino and of us:

National Gambling Helpline (run by GamCare)0808 8020 133Free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

If you are unsure whether you need help, a call to either helpline is still worth making, and a first call can be short. The National Gambling Helpline and the Welsh line are independent services; neither works for the casino, and neither is run by us.

Protecting minors

Gambling is for adults only, and a shared phone makes that easy to forget:

  • Players must be 18 or older to register at SharkRoll, and the same rule applies to every person who uses your device to play.
  • Keep your phone locked and let no child use a device where you are logged in.
  • Keep your password to yourself and switch on two-factor authentication, which the casino offers.
  • Log out after each session on a shared tablet or computer.
  • If you think a minor has an account, contact the casino's support team by live chat or its contact form and say so in the first message.

Warning signs of a problem

Stop and take stock if any of these sound familiar:

  • You spend more money or time than you planned, or chase losses to win them back.
  • You borrow money, or use money meant for bills, to keep playing.
  • You hide your gambling from people close to you or feel irritable when you are not playing.
  • Gambling takes over your sleep, work or relationships.
  • You keep raising a deposit after a loss because the next session has to make up the last one.

If one of these applies, set a limit or a break in your account today and call the National Gambling Helpline.
